About the SfAA Podcasts

The SfAA Podcast Project is continuing for its sixth year at the 72nd Annual Meeting of the Society for Applied Anthropology in Baltimore, MD from March 27th – 31st, 2012.   The University of North Texas Department of Anthropology co-sponsors the project with the Society for Applied Anthropology through an agreement that was officially established in 2010.  Both sponsors provide financial support in addition to volunteer hours.  Additionally, our professional audio recorder, Tommy Wingo, provides us with an excellent service and it make the podcasts great.

There will be 18 sessions recorded at the 2012 Annual Meeting.  The podcasts will be published to our website in April 2012 and will be available for free along with over 70 sessions from the 2007-2011 Annual Meetings.

The Society for Applied Anthropology (SfAA) Podcast project began at the 67th Annual Meeting of the SfAA in Tampa, Florida from March 28th to 31st, 2007. There were ten sessions recorded at the conference. The sessions were made available, free to the listener, as podcasts beginning April 11, 2007 through August 1, 2007.  The SfAA podcasts have continued ever since thanks to our sponsors and the hard work of our volunteer student SfAA Podcast Team.  You can find a list of the available podcasts here.

We welcome you to connect with us through our Twitter account for updates, Flickr account for photos, as well as our Ning and Facebook groups for social networking.
