The SfAA Podcast Project is now in its fifth year of planning! The project has come a long way since the days of bootstrapped recording and low budget efforts. We now have a lot of support from the SfAA, the SfAA Executive Board, and our listeners. UNT has also continued their support which started back in December 2006.
We added an official SfAA Podcast Team to the project in year two and I’ve been amazed by how awesome the team members have been. It’s really the team that makes our project so successful and I thank them for their efforts.
It is with great excitement and pride that I introduce Yumiko Akimoto as the co-manager of the project for 2011! She started with the project last year, excelled as a team member, and accepted the position. She will co-lead the project in Seattle, WA and will train her successor and co-manage in 2012. We’re hoping that this is a sustainable model that keeps the project in the hands of students.
Yumiko has already started to innovate the project and I’m really looking forward to what she adds to the project.
Welcome Yumiko!
